Health Reference Center Quick Guide

Health Reference Center - Academic (HRC) is a
multi-source database collection. HRC provides access to
the full-text and images of repected nursing, allied health
and medical journals, consumer health magazines, newsletters,
pamphlets, newspaper articles, topical overviews, and
reference books.

Notes: This is intended as a Quick Guide to get you
started. Select the HRC Help-Search menu item at
the left side of the screen for additional assistance.

Searching

Click in the entry box and enter search term(s).

Limit your search by selecting any of the delimiters
provided under Limit Current Search.

Click search button.
Tips
Relevance Search is a simple, effective way to search for
articles. It looks for words and word variants, alone and
in combination.
Keyword Search lets you match words in the articles
themselves, not just in controlled index terms.
Advanced search gives options for the use of boolean
operators, wildcards and limiting.
